AWANA 是 Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (得蒙喜悦作无愧的工人) 的英文字首。原句出自新约圣经提摩太后书第二章15节：“你当竭力，在神面前得蒙喜悦，作无愧的工人，按着正意分解真理的道。”
AWANA基督教儿童/青少年团队活动在美国已有超过50年的历史，目前在全球110个国家超过一万两千多间教会采用，被广泛认同是一个能借着圣经的真理教导帮助儿童和青少年身、心、灵均衡发展的完整课程活动，深受所参加儿童和青少年及他们父母的喜爱。
Awana Clubs 按年龄分为以下三个学习部： 1）Cubbies：幼儿部 2）Sparks：幼稚园及小学一、二年级部 3）Truth and Training (T&T)：小学三至六年级部
每个学习部设有不同程度的活动，有他们独特的课程內容、游戏、制服及奖励品，还有老师教导圣经故事、基督信仰的定义和原则，学生通过各自的学习手册练习诵读圣经经句来熟悉圣经，藉着团体活动和游戏，学习领导能力、团队精神并建立彼此友谊。由于Awana Clubs的活动是为配合团契部聚会而设，请家长们参加团契小组的查经聚会。周五晚的团契有：更新团契、晨光团契、广东团契、恩典团契和新人组。

Awana Kids Bible Club is designed for kids to know God and His Holy Word, the Bible, while having fun and building friendships. It is our desire to reach the kids with the gospel of Christ so that they will learn to make the Bible the center of their values and choices, and also learn to know, love and serve God wholeheartedly. A regular Awana meeting is divided into three segments:
1) Council Time - Clubbers learn truth of the Bible and moral and spiritual values through group lessons. 2) Handbook Time - Clubbers progress through handbook at their own pace and leaders meet with them individually to go over what they have learned. 3) Game Time - Clubbers participate fun group games while learning teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
There are three kids clubs by age: 1) Cubbies: two-year preschool program before Kindergarten (must be 3 years old by 8/31/11) 2) Sparks: Kindergarten to 2nd grade 3) Truth and Training (T&T): 3rd to 6th grade |
